● SKANDAL

The idea of Skandal was conceived in mid 2010 in Crete, Greece.

After being involved with local acts for a few years, bassist and vocalist Giorgos Skandalakis decided to put his own accumulated ideas on record. Calling in favours from musical friends George Bokos and Vasilis Gouvatsos for production, Vagelis Theodorakis on guitar and Phoebus Andriopoulos on drums, two original tracks were recorded, forming the First Step to Nowhere EP. Due for release in early 2012, the EP was intended to attract permanent band members at a later date, due to Giorgos' departure to the UK. Hence the work was released simply under the name 'Skandal'.

Giorgos journeyed to the UK in the hope that he would meet musically like-minded people with common influences (Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Judas Priest, etc), with whom he could form a more permanent group. The band played their first show on November 17th 2012, in Reykjavik, Iceland, continuing with the moniker of Skandal.

The band would face constant line-up changes during the next three years. While studying at the University of Leeds, Giorgos found drummer Alex Clayden-Spence, and together they recorded the Halo of Vultures single and their latest release, the Year of the Cicada EP. The band continued to play shows and festivals of various sizes in the UK and Greece, with several different guitarists during this period.

Still inspired by the same founding influences, they describe their genre as 'doom & roll', a ruthless concentration of raw riffs and powerful grooves.

Void Inn je hard rock/metal bend formiran 2010 god. u Los Andjelesu. Formirali su ga clanovi Jelena Vujanovic (vokal) i Sinisa Pejovic (gitara), koji su za to vreme zavrsavali studije na prestiznom Musicians Institute-u u Holivudu.
Bend mozete prepoznati po zestokim rifovima (Ala Black Sabbath), neparnim ritmovima, virtuoznim gitarskim deonicama i jedinstvenom vokalu velikog raspona tonova i sirokog spektra boja.
Void Inn se ubrzo istice i probija na urbanoj L.A - rok i metal sceni izmedju ostalog gostujuci po kultnim klubovima na Sunset Strip-u kao sto su Whiskey a Go go, Rainbow, Key club, Viper room sa uvek zapazenim nastupom.
Krajem 2010 god. bend ulazi u studio i samostalno snima demo cd sa tri autorske pesme. Demo dobija pozitivne kritike na raznim internet sajtovima koje pomazu da se bend rangira veoma visoko na web sajtu reverb nation. Pesma "Last Exit For Lost" je bio pustan na nekoliko internet radio stanica u S.A.D i Kanadi.
Zvuk benda je pod velikim uticajem rada sastava kao sto su Danzig, Alice in Chains, Down, Megadeth..
Tekstovi su mracni i opskurni napisani na engleskom jeziku cineci jedinstvenu celinu sa muzikom.
Krajem 2011 god. bend se premesta u Beograd i dobija pojacanje u vidu nove ritam sekcije: Marko Djoric (bas gitara) I Nebojsa Mandic (bubnjevi)
Pored velikog broja klupskih svirki sirom Srbije Void Inn ste do sada imali prilike da cujete i na raznim festivalima izmedju kojih su najznacajniji Zajecarska Gitarijada, Lake Fest (Niksic) I SLF (Sabac).
Takodje njihova muzika je bila emitovana na najvecim Tv i radio stanicama kao sto su RTS1, Pink, RTV, Beograd 202 i Radio Novosti.
Politikin Zabavnik, jedan od najznacajnijih Srpskih magazina, je nedavno objavio clanak o njima.
Void Inn su izdali Ep izdanje “I Can Hope” u aprilu 2016.
Bend trenutno radi na promociji cd-a i priprema material za novi album.

DOWNSTROY

Downstroy was formed in 2004. We recorded our first demo during the same year and it was named “0051". While recording in a studio, we were also quite busy doing concerts in many places (Belgrade, Novi Sad, Banja Luka, Teslić (BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA), Skopje (MACEDONIA), Szeged, Szekszárd (HUNGARY), Timisoara, Arad (ROMANIA), Kikinda, Sombor, Bečej, Novi Bečej, Zrenjanin, Pancevo, Senta, Mol, Bačka Topola, Subotica…), where we performed with already well-known bands such as PARADISE LOST, JINJER, SUBSCRIBE, BLIND MYSELF, NOCTIFERIA, EYESBURN, RITAM NEREDA, CADAVERES, DRONE, OVERDRIVE, DRACONIC, ALOGIA, VENDETTA, SMF, REPETITOR etc. Also, we performed at many well-knows festivals (EXIT, Jelen Demo Fest, Noć Muzeja, Scena, Podzemlje, Refuse/Resist, Gramofonija...). In the end of 2006, our debut EP “I SCREAM EVERY DAY” was recorded, where Nikola Mijic contributed to this album, and helped us to record it and mix it. We also had several guests on this album like: Nemanja Kojic Coyote (EYESBURN), Marjan Mijic (ex-DRACONIC) and Nikola Mijic (ALOGIA/DREYELANDS/EDEN'S CURSE). In the year of 2007 (our biggest success up to now) Downstroy won Metal Battle contest, and as the first band in history of former Yugoslav Republics, they went to perform on a world largest heavy metal festival WACKEN OPEN AIR in GERMANY. The music we play, we like to call it modern metal altogether combined with metal-core rhythms and melodically choruses… Downstroy has a videos for a songs “YOUR GAME”, "THE KEEPER" & "SONG 2.1 (BLUR COVER)". Debut album "ONE SIZE FITS ALL" is released at the end of 2012 through the label MINER RECORDINGS from Switzerland. Recorded in CHAINROOM studio (Senta, Serbia) by Nikola Mijic with special guests appearances by Chvare (OVERDRIVE) and Marjan Mijic (TIARAH). Battle continues...
